Everyone's welcome

Tappatapps is two people in Barcelona. We don't have a diversity department, and we won't pretend we do. What we have is a clear idea of who our games are for, and a few commitments we intend to keep.
Our games are for every kind of person
Whoever you are, wherever you're from, however you play. We design for people who read slowly, hear little, or play one-handed on a crowded bus. If something in our games gets in your way, we want to know.
Our characters respect you
Rex and the Keepers run on AI, and AI can pick up bad habits. We set them up to treat every player with the same warmth, never to mock anyone for who they are, and to be corrected when they slip. If a character says something that hurts you, tell us and we'll fix it.
Our worlds should look like the world
Right now Tokitopia's citizens all look alike, and we know it. As the game grows, so will they: different bodies, ages, colours and stories. Not as a checklist, but because a city where everyone looks the same is a boring city.
Our team will grow the same way
When we hire, we look for people who make the games better and the room kinder. Background, identity and where you learned your craft don't decide who gets the job.
Our words go where you are
This site speaks English, Spanish, Catalan and Chinese, and we'll add languages as we grow rather than expect you to meet us in ours.
Our door is open
Our games don't have player-to-player chat yet, but our social channels do, and harassment has no place there. If you see it, or you're on the receiving end of it, write to us at hello@tappatapps.com. A person reads every message.
This isn't a finished document. We'll update it as we learn, and we'll say so when we get things wrong.
